I would like to take my parents flowering almond bush home and plant it in my yard. It is high, 5 feet tall and unpruned, kind of wild with branches sticking out everywhere. It was the first thing that bloomed in the spring and they always looked forward to it. As they have both recently passed away I would like to grown it here so I can think of them waiting for it every spring. My cousin told me to prune it back a lot and then dig it up later in the summer. I say online I could take a cutting but would prefer the whole bush if possible. How would I go about digging it up. How far out from the base of the bush. The branches reach way out, hope the roots don't... Should I wrap it in burlap for the 2 hours drive here and then put it back in the ground right away? Should I use root stimular? Catherine
