I have a Dracaena Massangeana Corn plant. It is about 13 years old and it is at my ceiling. I do not want it bending over so I need to top it off. I am not sure how to do this so if anyone knows, will you please share the seceret with me. I do not want to ruin the beauty of this plant so I am asking for your help. I also have a dead stock and I am not sure how to remove it. there is a new shoot coming from the stock but I think that it is old enough to live on its own. how would I remove the old stock?

    Thanks

Theres no secret to it....just cut it off at the desired height, bearing in mind that it will grow again, and new shoots will start to form. You can take the crown (the top bit you just cut off ) and put that in a new pot, removing 1/3 of the lower leaves and some rooting powder. Where you have cut the crown off, you can put some commercial sealant on there if you like...

    Good luck
