I live in Mobile, AL. I have 2 satsuma bushes that have yet to produce fruit in 3 years.

A friend told me to get some Miracle Gro plant spikes for citrus.

I put in the spikes over a month ago and the bushes have jumped up in size quite nicely.

However, I have no blossoms or any sign of possible fruit. Is it possible to stimulate blossoming? Or have I waited to late to do so?

Are these grafted clones from a nursery or plants raised from seed? Seedlings have to reach sexual maturity before flowers appear, clones have the sexual maturity of the parent plant and therefore bloom small.

Seedlings may also have different fruit characteristics than the parent plant.

Both of these plants are from a well respected citrus plant producing company located in Belle Chasse Louisiana.

I am just so frustrated that after 4 years I have yet to taste a satsuma off my own plants!

Who you bought them from does not establish whether they are seedlings or grafts, unless that company never sells seedlings.

The plants appear to be grafts.

Two years ago I did get blossoms and small fruit began to appear. I think the bugs got to them.

This year, no blossoms. Other trees in my area are blossomong and are already showing signs of fruit.

Once again...is there any way or any fertilizer product that could stimulate these plants to blosom and put on fruit for this season?
