I have an indoor plant (whose name I do not know) and recently I've noticed tiny green spherical growths on top of the soil and a few on the inside of the pot. The leaves used to stand up and now they have gone limp. I water the plant about once a week, but am wondering if this is too often as the leaves are soft and limp. Can someone please reccommend a solution? Should I re-pot? Is it mold or eggs or what? How can I save my plant!?

I've attached some photos for reference.

    Thank you!

It looks like it is being overwatered to me.

The green spheres are likely to be a slow release fertilizer.

USA is a big place libby1234, I can't tell where you are located. The window appears to be open. If it gets cold where you live that plant would not like that. A cold draft around the base of the pot could cool the whole thing down. Can't tell if this is the case, just a thought.

Unless you watered that plant right before you took the picture i'd say that the plant is being overwatered. The soil looks to be waterlogged. If this is the case then you may have mold growing on your soil.
I'd say to cool down on the watering for a bit and see if the leaves perk up.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to hold off on the watering and hope it comes back to life. I am going to scoop the mold off of the top (is that ok?) and pray that it's not too late.

By the way I'm in Brooklyn, but it's been warm! Honest!

    Thanks again!
