My neighbor dropped off a small baggie with a partial plant and a bloom, (separated from the plant), last evening and asked if I could find out what it is. All I know is that her sister found it growing profusely amongst her cultivated flower garden plants and also in her vegetable garden. She said they typically grow multiple buds but they bloom only one-at-a-time. I don't recall seeing this plant. Any help will be appreciated. I will be in the neighborhood where her sister lives next week and will stop to take photos if I cannot solicit an ID with this effort. Oh, for reference purposes, that baggie is only 3-inches wide.
