I live in Nashville, TN and the common occurrence every year is to see tiny red bugs crawling around outside. I have been told they are several things including red spider mites, but I have no clue what they really are. If someone could help me identify them, I would be most appreciative. Thank you!
There are kinds of predatory mites that are red and visible to the naked eye. Plant-sucking spider mites are too tiny to see easily, and I think few if any species are as brightly colored as the predator mites can be.
we have them here, as well. they're nothing to worry about - unless you're one of the mites they like to eat, that is!!
i live in tennessee also ,, and the only little bitty red bug that i know really well and hate is a chigger!
