Not sure what this is but the leaves look like a fern plant only tiny and dainty. It's growing like a weed. Does anyone know what it is?
Again - just a wild guess - Dicentra Formosa - native bleeding heart. I see you use both forums also. Fun aren't they. ;)) barb
Looks Like both the anthriscus and Dicentra. I'm kind of hoping dicentra because the flowers are prettier.:) thanks! Barbara: yes they are fun! New to both. Hoping I get some good identifications though. New home So it's all new to me. Have some trees thati need help with also. Had some conflicting identifications. Hoping to figure it out so I'll know how to care for everything properly. Nice to have your help!:)
Bloom will decide if it's dicentra. Not sure about LA but here in Wash. if you have some you'll soon have lots. The members on these forums are very good. ;))
I don't think it's Dicentra - there looks like there is some very small toothing or glands on the margins of the leaflets (most visible in the leaflet up and right from the centre of the image), which I don't associate with Dicentra.
These teeth fit Anthriscus caucalis very well, especially if the base of the leaf is hairy: http://www.flickr.com/photos/zharkikh/6841617173/
I think you're right. By the leaf patterns it doesn't look like a Dicentra. It's a low plant though. Haven't seen it get as leggy as the pictures of Anthriscus.
