Hi all, I just got a Tillandsia bulbosa airplant at the Ex yesterday :) Its 7 inches long for $3 CDN. I haven't had one in years and was suprised and delighted to get one again. I soaked it over night and drip dryed it upside down. The man at the booth even gave me a neat booklet on taking care of it. Once soaked it doubled in size and is nice and hydrated. :) I have it in my washroom in a rock shaped candle holder for now. Wish me luck and blooms :)
Good luck with your Tillandsia! It seems odd that you had to soak it overnight and that it expanded - mine never expand when wet. Do you have a picture?
Thank you so much Kevin :) It was all curled up at first then after the soaking it puffed and the arms straighten out a bit. I was told it was dehydrated and needed the soak. I do have pictures but I need to get the service on my phone to upload them. Once I do, I will post them. MrsGreenthumbs :)
