Hello, a few weeks ago I sprayed all my plants with Schultz Spray, because of thrips ivasion. I haven't cut the buds and I think that cause them to come back. All my plants were in terrible condition after spray, and I don't know if I should spray them again. Gloxinias growed new stems with buds, when flowers open-there are thrips. I also have srtrep and kohleria starter plants, they are very small and I'm afraid to spray them again. Should I do it? Ahother question is about the buds, my mini chimera starting to develop verytiny bud, is it necessarily to cut it off? Should I change the soil? I did changed it a few weeks ago though... Thank you in advance for the answer! Lara
I suspect the spray did more harm than help, by the sounds of it. I don't think a spray application would do much to harm the thrips if they are in the buds. Read through the Integrated Pest Management Guidelines for thrips from the Univ. of California to get an idea of control methods (and yes, removing buds sounds like an excellent idea)
