I'm trying to identify a 3 leaf shrub w/ a pink flower that looks like a sweet pea. It grows along the edge of lakes, the leaves are not variegated. The bloom is pink and lavender. It is very drooping looking, grows quite tall but very bushy. No Pickens sets of three leaves grow along the stem at intervals. Leaves are small - 1/4" to 1". Flower is small - 3/4". I have a picture but don't know how to attach.....maybe I finally did it but not sure.
Strophostyles helvola...? Or maybe S. umbellata, aka Pink Fuzzybean? Welcome to the Forum, fellow Buckeye!
Neither one looks quite like it. Wish I would have taken a pic of the entire plant. It was huge and the slender branches bent down to the ground. Unfortunately it was in Canton at Gervasi Winery. If you ever get there check it out. Thanks so much for responding. Go Bucks!
