Three ID

    Hello all. Just wondering if you can ID this tree. Its not very large. Only about 5'. Thanks for any help.

    I'd need a closeup of the leaves to be sure, but it might be
    Sorbus or Locust.

    A species of rowan Sorbus.

    I agree with Rowan Sorbus. It will bloom in the spring and bear fruit (probably bright orange but it depends on the cultivar) Most of them have very bitter fruit but the birds love them.

    Huh. Ive had this tree for a few years now as well as another thats slighly large and ive never had a bloom or any fruit. I think the "parent" tree is in a yard connected to our property and i dont remember ever seeing it bloom either....but then again i didnt pay close attention.

    Yours at least is probably still just a little on the young side to be flowering. Should start in a year or two; flowering is in late May.
