Identification: Thought this was a Bush Clover,Lespedeza, but leaves not 3 palmate!

    Possibly Galega, but there are many pea family plants.

    Thanks! It certainly does look like Galega. Mine flowered profusely but never produced any pods. It might be Galega orientalis. Thanks again!!!

    This is what my leaves do not have- tip of each leaflet does not have a small hair-like appendage. I bought the plant at a reputable nursery but lost the label. Thanks for the link-have to do a bit more research.

    Outlines of many Galega flowers shown tending to be somewhat different, with petals looking more pointy. Yours is quite rounded, despite close general similarity of plant may be a less shown species in the genus - perhaps G. orientalis is correct, I don't know that one - or belong to another genus entirely. I have probably only seen one or two species of Galega in person.
