I live in the Wisconsin woodlands. There is a new bush which had yellow thorny berries
(spiky like a sputnik satellite) that turn rose-red as they mature. Under the
spikes the berry has thin stripes and the very tip is brown/bud-like. The spikes on
the berry are 0.5 cm long. The stem of the berry is about 2 cm long and green.
The leaves are reminscent of wild blackberry bushes; no thorns on the branches.
    What is this?
