Wildflowers: Thistle, Michigan

    Can you help me identify this thistle. The photos were taken in August in LeFurge Woods Nature Preserve in southeastern Michigan.

    Thank you. I was hoping it was not the invasive weed, but I guess it is. It is a lovely thistle though even if it IS a pest weed.

    As an aside, it's a teasel (Dipsacaceae), not a thistle (Asteraceae) ;-)
