Ok, I posted a pic of this particular tree along with some others before. I've ID'ed all but this one. It's a large hardwood tree with rough bark it's a light grey color with a hint of black/dark grey patchy areas throughout the bark. The leaves are very smooth almost cloth like texture with little spine tips on the end of each lobe not hard and glossy like Holly. Any ideas?

No, it's not Blackjack oak.. I have some photos of Blackjack oak from my property also. They look simular but The leaves on the blackjack oak are much larger and are glossy without the spiny tips. The bark is also more coarse on the blackjack oak. Below is a photo of blackjack oak sapling from property about 100 yards from the tree Im speaking of. I have approx: 40 Blackjacks & approx: 25 of the particular tree noted. Unless ofcourse I have a different species of blackjack oak?
If you'd look closely at the link I provided you'd notice that Q. marilandica is both spine tipped and without spines. Oaks are notoriously variable and difficult to identify. They also hybridize, so I stand by my ID unless someone else has better info. Bark BTW changes over time so that also confuses matters.
