    ... who knows what it is? Low, thorny bush; tastes similar to a raspberry; no hallucination or death experienced after consuming.

    Yes black raspberry. If it's wild in Ontario, should be Rubus occidentalis.

    I grew up in Ohio, we cultivated these. Perhaps my favorite treat in the whole world is black raspberries on vanilla ice cream--delicious.

    Black Raspberry. I didn't know such a thing existed - I was only aware of raspberries and blackberries.

    It is growing wild (and delicious) so Rubus occidentalis it is!
