Hi: Any idea as to the identity of the flowers below (species and variety?). The first two were photographed the third week of May. The third bloomed in August. The fourth at the beginning of June; the fifth at the end of June. Thanks, Michelle
#1 is Perennial Cornflower (Centaurea montana) #2 is a broom (Cytisus), not sure which (it isn't Common Broom C. scoparius) #3 is a Lathyrus species #4 is Bistort (Persicaria bistorta)
#5 may be a celosia. Looks a lot like this one: http://www.botanypictures.com/plantimages/celosia%20argentea%20'plumosa'%2001celosia%20plumosa%20(pluimhanekam).jpg
I use a Nikon D70S. If you want to see what I've done with some of the flowers I photographed, go to www.mademers.com (I've just launched it) and click on Floral Fabrications. Cheers, Michelle
