Hi all, is there anyone who can help me identify this plant. I can not remember what it was I put for seed (nut) in the pot at Christmas 2010th. What I know is that I took with me a "funny nut" from Gran Canaria and it is possibly the one I put into the pot. / Hasse http://www.alltomtradgard.se/min-sida/friland/galleri/photo/?id=431744
Hi Eric, the plant is very similar to a Mirabilis Jalapa, but it is not sown from seed. It is sown as a nut (size is similar to a avocado nut) / Hasse
I agree with Eric. They produce a tuber that might resemble a 'nut' http://toptropicals.com/pics/garden/07/3/P3173068.jpg

Hi thanks for the reply, I am very thankful for your response. This plant appeared strange from day one, it was extremely short and heavy, growing very fast, etc. I will return in a few days when the flowers bloom. so we'll see how those look. If you want to study the plant closer a high resolution picture on the link below http://www.ebony.se/DSC02140.JPG
Still, the plant does not bloom. but they appear to be red or yellow. Here's a detailed picture of the plant root.
