I have what I believe to be an Iris. All of my 'small' Iris have bloomed out about the 6th of April. This one particular plant has developed with longer leaves but the same sword shape and fan pattern. The stem went from 0" to 22" in about seven to nine days. The bloom tip appeared about the 5th of April and faded on the 12th. While using my water fertilizer I noticed there were three more bloom tips below the first fading bloom. Today I found a new stem which had gotten crossed under a 'Jacobs Ladder vine' and was about 5" long before starting it's upward growth. It is now 8" long above the horizontal and has four(4) bloom buds showing. Its color is peach/salmon. The bloom width of the first bloom was a little over 3.5". It also appeared to be somewhat bearded. I know the saying about the duck, "if it walks, swims, and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck." Is there some experienced Iris grower who can provide more information? Is this a hybrid?
I just moved here April of '06. The yard was very much in distress and flowering was
very meager. This year they have all been watered and fertilized appropriately.
I've just never seen an Iris like this one. I lived in Alaska for 21 years before moving back here. Up there we had 'Blue Flag', of which I brought some seed. All comments will be appreciated. With respects to all

Thank you so much. I have to borrow my daughters camera. I can't find my battery charger. I've done some reading and think the big one may be a "Juno" family, because of the number of blooms, and the round leaved plant, it is 28" tall, may be a Xiphium, or a mix thereof. I'll get a flick ASAP. Respects, Rick
