    Hi everyone,
I seem to be fighting a losing battle with the crown vetch that's taking over my community roundabout - so far i've been attacking each and every one that comes up with my trowel as i have a sneaking suspicion that if i pull it out by hand i'll exacerbate the problem but i don't seem to be getting anywhere. Can anyone give me some more info about it and maybe come up with ways to deal with it - it's in amongst all the plants now!

It spreads by rhizomes and seeds, you have to tackle both. Pull some and see how and if the roots are connected. It might be difficult to eradicate it in a situation like yours as this is a community area.
