The Maple Society will host the American Branch Annual Meeting in Ashville North Carolina this October 2013. The information and registration form is on the The Maple Society Website. It has lots of garden tours and great speakers. Hope some of you maple lovers will come and join us. There will be nurseries selling maples in case you want to purchase some. See you there.
Are friends enjoying each others company at these branch meetings referred to as buds? When someone gives a talk, is that called barking?

As it happens I was thinking of going to North Carolina but did not know about this event; when and if I go depends on the undecided plans of another party.
last year they came and visited my two gardens and it was a great time meeting all of the people. i even had s few folks digging trees out of my garden to carry back with them on the plane. I have no vacation time this time of year as I keep up with the busy fall season.
