Hello Everyone visiting UBC. I came across this forum in my manic hunt for identifying common British wild plants/flowers. I am working on a art project for my final year of university that maps over 50 plants that are found growing in the city of Leeds, I have identified 24 plants so far and would love to complete the collection ready for my hand-in on monday! Eeek - very soon. All the photos are up on my flickr.com account. I have included the address below and a snap shot of the page. You can enlarge the picture on flick to their original size to get more detail. I am offering a prize to someone who can return the highest amount of close ID's - I appreciate their will be a margin of error as their are only snaps of the plants. The prize is a silk-screen print of a Artemisia vulgaris drawn and printed by myself, I will post it out to you in a tube - wherever you live. You can see it attached below. N.b. The photos are labelled by number, if you think you have an ID, please email me {contact@interlude22.co.uk} and I will post a mention up on the forum to confirm I got your ID's. Here they are then: http://www.flickr.com/photos/interlude22/sets/72157600303920925/ Thanks in advance to anyone looking at these and giving a little bit of their time and effort to help me out with my project. I'll give it a go later tonight One little tip: species names are always lower case, thus Artemisia vulgaris, not Artemisia Vulgaris ;-) PS suggestion to entrants: post answers in a Private Message to Lawrence, so others can't see what's been given!
Just a quick post to say thanks to Michael, he has submitted 46 ID's on this one, if you feel you can break that, have a go and drop me a message - I will send on a print to the winner!
