I have some extensive brown leaf problems on an autumn blaze maple and two red maples in Tyler(eastern) TX. I would appreciate any ideas why this is happening? When it started in early August I started watering them at least every other day.
Here is a link to a picasa album of them - http://picasaweb.google.com/stephenthompson2/MapleTreesSept09?authkey=Gv1sRgCPTjiemMxNi8_wE#

    Thanks, Steve
Or if the link doesn't work I can email them to you if you give me yours

Probably mineral salts or hot winds.

Ok - Thanks, I'm not familiar with mineral winds, what are they? - I'm 4 hours from the ocean

Sorry Ron - I read wrong - where would I be getting the mineral salts - just what is naturally in the soil?

Irrigation water could be a problem.
