Taxus baccata 'Watnong Gold'

    This small cultivar is erect and has brilliant yellow foliage. The needles are flat and shiny. The bark is typically reddish brown and the berries, when present, are red. This plant likes a moist, slightly acidic soil with a decent amount of light.

    .....but is it really T. baccata ?

    Yes, and I have no reason think it is not considering who I purchased it from.

    Do you have something to offer to challange it name?

    I would be happy to intertain your thoughts.

    Jaro, your point is well taken.

    Is it Taxus cuspidata instead of baccata? I don't know and we may never know. So much confusion in the trade these days as to species/cultivar names.
