Identification: Taxus baccata - nice old specimen

    Please confirm it's taxus baccata. Nevertheless it must be very old, planted next to a church which was built in the XIII century in Sighisoara medieval town. Could it be of the same age with the church or even older? I asked my daughter for help for trunk size estimation.

    Yes, Taxus baccata, but not so very old - I'd guess about 100-200 years at most.

    Thanks, it makes sense. I was impressed by the trunk size and I read taxus grows very slowly.

    Gets much bigger.
