I live in Olrando Florida and have planted a tnagerine tree three years ago. Every year it gets 8 tangerines. Plenty of sunlight, fertilizer, water and has very thick beatuiful green foliage. I also have a tree that looks like it produces oranges but they taste like lemons. Tree is at least 20 years old. Is it a lemon tree? Any tips on how to make the oranges sweet??? Thanks Golda
Your tree will produce more fruit as it gets older. Also tangerine (mandarin) trees do not produce sweet good tasting fruit until they get to be 5-7 years old. If you have a tree that produces fruit which taste like a Lemon, yet produces round ORANGE colored fruit, it is probbly a Meyer Lemon, which is a cross between an orange and a lemon. - Millet
