Tall yellow flowering shrub - what is this called?

    This is a tall flowering shrub, with large (marigold size) flowers, it grows quite fast, and is not fragrant. This is the first year it has flowered, although it was planted two summers ago when it was about 2-3 feet tall. The man at the nursery said it would up to 10X10 feet!

    Yes, and not really a shrub, I think. It probably dies to the ground every year, and so is a perennial. Shrubs have a woody structure that stays alive through the winter and to which new growth is added every year.
