I've been admiring this giant yellow flower every summer but have never figured out what it is. I assume it's either a heliopsis or a variety of false sunflower? How many years does it take to get that tall? I've seen it as high as 10 feet.

    Thanks.

From what I can tell in the photograph the individual leaves are lobed. It looks like a double form of Rudbeckia laciniata, possible Rudbeckia laciniata var. hortensis. This perennial can reach close to ten feet.
