I have a peach tree sapling that I have wrapped in potato sacking for the winter. I am trying to figure out when I will be safe to take it off. I live on Eastern Long Island in NY. It has been such a rough winter. I figured in two weeks or so, maybe I could unwrap it. Any suggestions?

Before planting a peach tree sapling, you should ideally soak its roots in water for a few hours and early winter is the best time to plant peach trees. :)

Thank you for that advice, it has been planted at my home now for two years. The weather is so tricky this year, it is hard to know when to unwrap it for the spring and summer and fall.
