I am trying to identify a plant that grows in swampy areas in Alberta. I have heard it referred to as "Red tea", but that is more likely a rough translation of the Blackfoot name for the plant than a recognized common name.

The plant is about 45cm tall, has small (3 cm wide) orange-yellow flowers with a brown centre. It requires a lot of water to grow and will not grow in drier areas. The only photo I have is of the dried plant and may not be terrily useful. It either doesn't have much in the way of leaves or they are lost when the plant dries out.

I welcome any leads as to what this plant may be.

That certainly fits the bill. I'll look into it.

    Thank you.
