Hi I planted some sunflower seeds in May. Today, they range in height from 3 to 6 feet tall and are starting to make flowers. they all have been getting same treatment so I wonder why the variation in size? Also, do I need to fertilise them? If so, what is recommended. Many thanks Nidal
Height variability: hmm... to a limited extent, there are some elements of genetics involved. For the extent of differences you are seeing, though, it is likely some environmental factor, e.g., Density Effects on Plant Height Growth and Inequality in Sunflower Populations
