   Help me identify this plant from my garden. It looks like a sumac to me? But I am a beginner and know very lilttle. Is it poisonous? Should I take it out?
   
   If it is poison sumac, what is the best way to protect when removing it?

   Ailanthus altissima. Not poisonous, but a real nuisance weed. Dig it out and get as much of the roots as you can.
