Could someone please tell me the name of a clematis vine that dies back in the fall/winter? I heard there was one. Thanks

    Hello flowercents,
I find it interesting that most of the herbaceous clematis are not vines. Two vining clematis that die back are C. crispa and C. fusca. Many of the deciduous vines are cut back hard in the spring so they are much like growing an herbaceous vine. There is an incredible amount on the web about clematis. Try some searches. Several clematis societies have great websites.
