Here's some more ID's. I hope people like id'ing these plants as much as I like id'ing lizard photos for other people.

This pot of 3 species I got from a friend. Since I got them they've been doing much better. I've been told a the Agave is A. (something that means slender or thin - can't remember right now). The tall one I assume is some sort of Euphorbia. At first we thought the cactus was growing long like that because of lack of light, but since then I've seen in my one succulent book that there is cactus that grow like that and the flowers grow on the end of the long growths.

I put up two pictures to show how well they've done since I got them last March.

Finally, there is a small Agave. I have been told this is a very valuable variety of A. victoria-reginae. In fact I was told it was worth on the order of hundreds of dollars. Can this be true? I was told I could have it if I didn't sell it.

    Thanks,
    Tyler

Thanks. I guess my E. trigona and A. attenuata are going to outgrow their pot. I didn't know they were going to get 10 ft tall! What am I going to do with them?

Tyler, they do look much better now in your care! I believe you have IDs on your plants already, but I just wanted to add a couple things. :)

For those ones that will grow big/tall...plant them outside! Unless you're in an apartment or something...then, put them in separate pots out on the balcony or patio. :D You're about an hour or so north of me. It seems you could grow these well outdoors!

On your variegated plant...it could be Agave victoria-reginae, but it's hard to say (flash washed out the view somewhat). Even so, I don't think it's worth hundreds of dollars. They are not rare in cultivation, so the price shouldn't be outrageous.

There was a larger one on eBay recently, but if you know anything about the bids there, the prices can be quite outrageous. One variegated plant (19cm/7.5 in) went for £122. from France. I don't know the conversion rate between pounds & dollars ($) so I can't say. I suppose if someone wants it badly enough, they'll pay a higher price. Small ones like yours were selling for $10. at an AZ nursery recently. A friend thought that was too high a price to pay. Go figure! Hope I didn't burst your bubble.
