    Hello,

I planted a small Styrax Japonica 'Pink Chimes' in my garden a few years ago and it did fine until a very severe cold spell hit after a warm period. The top died off and I cut it back to just above the graft and now it has sent out multiple shoots from the rootstock which I think might be Styrax j. 'Emerald Pagoda'. I am hoping to nurture this along to see what becomes of it. Should I reduce the new shoots down to a few in order to encourage a strong central leader or two or should I just leave all the new shoots that have sprouted from the rootstock? Thanks!
