    There is a lovely ground cover in my (new) yard. I have no idea what it is. Can you help?

    Looks like Galium sp.

    Yep, possibly Woodruff Galium odoratum. Is it strongly scented of freshly mown hay?

    Yes, there is a small of fresh hay. Must be Woodruff.
