    OK, developers. I'd like an app that alerts me on my phone when each of my plants needs water.

    And if the app were to transform the noise into frequencies audible to humans we can then hear how they scream when we prune them ;) I'm not sure I'd like that though.

    That sounds like a great way to control the cherry pruning in Gibsons (@Willard), and all the other pruning people do just because they can.

    Access to new information might help us do things more humanely, or at least in ways less distressing to the organism.

    From a productivity perspective less stress generally offers a protective effect on life be it cows, humans or tomatoes.
