These sprouted from seed in our perennial bed. Not sure what they are. Guesses? Thanks.

It looks a lot like Sweet Cicely (Myrrhis odorata) or Wild Anise (Osmorhiza longist). Does it have a licorice-like odor when crushed?

No. Not either of these. No licorice smell. Curious...

Looks like an Umbelliferae, but I may be wrong. The 2nd picture of your first post reminds me of Aegopodium (ground elder). I have to admit I don't know for sure. Hopefully, another member can identify it.

The pics are too small to see much detail, but the leaves are opposite, which excludes umbellifers.

Could perhaps be Manitoba Maple Acer negundo seedlings??

Thanks for all the posts so far. No matches yet.
    Would a different photo help?

What is the scent like when they are crushed? That will likely confirm tomato, if so.

No. Not tomato plants. Any chance it could be very young astilbe?

I'm still pretty confident about the Bidens, myself. Are you able to describe the scent of the crushed leaves?

Jepson offers a key to Bidens, but after selecting the petioled leaves and compound leaves characters, both B. frondosa and B. pilosa remain possibilities. May need to wait for flowering heads to tell.
