    Hey guys!

I just got home from college for the weekend, and noticed a strange vine hanging on some pine trees in my back yard. I've never seen anything like it around here.
    (Here being upstate New York)

It has 5-pointed leaves and no thorns on the vine itself, but has large green orbs with rows of spikes on them. It is yellow-green in color and does not seem to be doing very well, as many leaves are dead, but that could be due to the fact that we are nearing the end of September.

The pictures are a bit blurry but I hope they help identify it!

    Thanks!!

Yep, that's definitely it. Any ideas how it came to grow on my pine tree?

    Thanks for the info!!

I can't answer that, but I think it's your spruce tree it's growing on (not that I'm any expert).

Yep, that's a Norway Spruce it is growing in!
