Hi, I have these strawberries with dark pink/red flowers and the berries are most strange. They are 2" long and 3/4" wide, very long and narrow, with a wide top. I can't remember where I got them but would love to know what species they are. Thanks for any help, much appreciated...Colleen in North Van.

It looks like you have two varieties of Strawberries in your container. One with the elongated fruit is probably 'Tristan' or 'Tarpan' , difficult to tell one from another. Are they tasty?

Thanks so much for the info. I've only eaten one so far and it wasn't super ripe, I couldn't wait. It had a very nice flavor, not too sweet. Yes there are 4 plants in the basket, 2 of the long strawberries and 2 normal ones.
