Hi all, I have owned 2 different breeds of Crassula for almost 2 years now. They have always been in the same spot which isn’t particularly drafty or bright at any time. recently I started noticing that one had some sort of mysterious disease where it produces scales on some of its leaves (none on new growth leaves). After thinking it was due to overwatering in the winter (I watered once a fortnight but google said this can be too much), I watered less and monitored it for a while. it didn’t get any better at all and then I started noticing the same issue on my other crassula (they are placed next to each other) so I’m assuming it’s fungal based? I tried asking friends and looking online but other people with the same issues haven’t had any resolution and the plant ended up dying. can anyone help on how I can save them before it infects both plants and possibly more? Thanks in advance.
Welcome to the Forums. This problem has been reported a number of times in the past here but I do no recall it being positively identified. Here is one example: Brown scaling on jade leaves.
Hi Eleanor, The tunnelling pattern on the leaves of your Jade plants looks like leaf miner damage. Link below on how to treat your plants. leaf-miners-how-to-identify-and-treat-infestations-in-your-succulents
