Strange plants in Peru

    These were found at around 3500 meters in northeast Peru.. specifically in the Amazonas district near Leymebamba.
    They seem related. They get around 5 feet tall. Any guesses as to the genus, or the family??

    Lobelia sp. I believe.

    Usually I agree with Salty, but today I'm going to have to beg to differ. Those are Siphocampylus spp; I recognize the leaves and flower-types from our own endemics. There are hundreds of species, though.
