Lets see where do I start? My daughter found this plant in her garden and wanted to know what kind it was. I have oictures I took with my phone. I hope you can see it good enough. The vine is small with a small seed that looks like a tiny watermellon. Green with white spots. The size of a grape. Seed pod is on a hair thin stem.We found another seed pod that was dark in color like a grape. The green pod smelled like a watermellon. Hope you cansee the seeds inside the pod.It had avery bad taste. Please let me know what this is.Do we kill it or save it.

aka porcelain berry vine. it's considered invasive (and berries are poisonous), so, i'd recommend yanking it up.

Porcelain berry is widely planted as an ornamental for its exquisitely colored fruits. It will not be considered a pest over a large area, weediness of specific kinds of plants often varies regionally. This one does make a somewhat large, twining grape-like twiner that can be a nuisance when not situated in a spot where this kind of growth habit can be accommodated.

Ronb I have added another picture that showes the stem to the seed, its not like a cluster as on the ampelopsis plant.and this plant has more than 2 or3 seed in a pod.Of all the pictures I have found on the Ampelopsis or the Porclain Berry plant the seeds are in a cluster like a grape. This one is differant. And the seed pod are obout 1 inch long and 1/2 inch round oblong shape. My question is is this a differant plant or still the plant you suggest it is?
