strange palm tree in Ambon, what is it?

    It's most likely the remains of what's left of a palm tree. Some palms die after flowering and setting seed. The top portion being the stems from the infloresence. The photo really isn't overly clear enough in detail to say for certain.

    ?!?!? That is so bizarre on so many levels..... It doesn't look like the remains of an inflourescence, though I suppose it could be, leaf shape is beyond bizarre, looks to be fully bipinnate, and curves in the wrong direction... If it weren't for the boots I'd have said it could have been a species of tree fern. Where is this located?
