Identification: Strange leaf on Christmas cactus

    I have a strange red leaf that has been on my plant now for over a year and would like to know if this is normal. All the other leaves on the plant are green except for one which is red in color, round in shape and hollow (see attached photos). I have also sent a note to the Butchart gardens and they didn't have an answer for this.

    I just discovered that Hoya's have seed pods so you might be right togata. Sure looks weird tho.

    Yes, that is a seed pod. It takes about a year for them to ripen.

    I'll be darned! It just goes to show you that whoever is minding the store upstairs certainly has a wonderful sense of humor and one fantastic imagination!

    A fruit (not a 'pod' in the sense like a pea pod, more like a berry). Edible when ripe.
