Attached are photos of a brown hairlike fungus which showed up overnight. We live in SW Florida and it has been hot & humid (big surprise!) for weeks. At the attachment point, there is a silvery "paint like" structure not more than a few mols thick. In close up you can see tiny bumps evenly distributed across this structure. Growing from these bumps are the fruiting bodies. They are approx 2cm in height and will burst apart from their tightly bunched initial form (somewhat fingers in a glass-like). Their spore is also dark brown and stains like a son of a gun. The images attached are jpeg and can be enlarged. The neutral toned one shows the silver sub structure, the full color shots show the accurate color and the "bumps". Any ideas?
