    Solanum capsicastrum or Solanum pseudocapsicum
I have one of the above named Cherry plants that has a sort of shiny, sticky substance on some of the leaves, smells a little like goosberry or maybe blackcurrent.
However the rest of the leaves still smell normal.
The plant is generally healthy, [now] having been repotted, it is producing new green shoots and flowers.
It did have a very small greyish thing which clustered on leaves and stems that flew away if disturbed, these are now gone, but the gue remains.
    Any suggestions would be welcomed
    Thanks
    Peter

Honeydew (which is just a polite way of saying aphid turds). So it means you have an aphid infestation on the plant - a very common occurrence with these Solanums. If the plant is fairly small, it is easiest just to inspect it closely, and rub off all the aphids. To remove the honeydew that's already there, wrap the pot in a plastic bag, tied round the base of the plant (so the soil doesn't get overwatered), and shower the foliage with plenty of water.
