Sticky ficus tree

    I have a ficus tree that is about 30 years old. It seems okay, except the leaves are sticky. There are no black (or other colored) spots on the either side of the leaves. The stickiness washed away fairly easily with a gentle shower from the garden hose.

    Any thoughts on what the stickiness is from?
