I had the pod from the Stephanotis plant on my windowsil for a few days It ripened and burst open so I could see the seeds, brown colored. After a few days each individual seed developed an umbrella made of fine white threads Pretty soon I had a few hundreds seeds ready to be picked up by the wind or airflow. I now have a few seeds on a wet thick sheet of paper. Just wondering what will happen next.

If you put the wet thick sheet of paper (assuming it's a paper towel) inside a ziplock bag so it doesn't dry out, the seed should sprout in just a little over a week.

With this method, there is a chance, that the seeds may get fungal infection. So better to apply some fungicide before putting them in ziplock bag.

Henry, every site I've seen says to take tip cuttings for propagation. This site about germination says that it can take up to 90 days for seeds to sprout and germination is variable.

    Good luck with your seeds.

It took 9 or 10 days for the seeds to sprout. I kept the sprouted seeds for another 3 days in the plastic bag. I then transferred them to a pot with soil uncovered. With this success I repeated the process 2 more times.
