Last year I planted a Stella and a Van. This year one of them died and I cannot tell which one (I should of kept track which is which). Anyhow, I planted a Vista to replace the one that died. If the Stella is the one that survived, I am okay because it is self-pollinating and also pollinates other trees. I was told that a Vista is also self-pollinating, is this true and am I okay if either the Stella or the Van is planted with the Vista?

Vista may not be self-pollinating, but it will pollinate other varieties, and it can be pollinated by either Stella or Van, so you should be fine. This is considering compatability; I am not sure how their blooms will overlap.
